Mega-Glitch Split
Summary
A gigantic, grumpy robot called the Mega-Glitch-Bot is stomping through the city, causing chaos because it’s too big to control its own feet! The little hero bots are too small to stop it alone. You need to use the "Divider Ray." Every division problem you solve hits the giant Mega-Glitch and splits it into tiny, harmless, toaster-sized robots that can easily be rounded up. Divide and conquer to save the city from the giant stomper!

Instructions

Customize, download and print your Division Robot Cards.

  1. Look at each robot card and solve the division equation.
  2. Find the robot’s power level (the answer).
  3. Cut out the cards and shuffle the deck.

  5. Have fun while practicing your division skills!

Tip: Solve the equation before using the robot in a game!

Variations

Beginner — “Share the Power”

Use drawings or objects to divide equally.

How it works:
• For 12 ÷ 3, draw 12 bolts and split them into 3 equal groups
• Or use blocks, coins, or counters
• Count how many are in each group to find the power

Goal: Make division concrete and visual.

Intermediate — “Robot War”

Turn practice into a fast-paced card game.

How it works:
• Each player flips one card at the same time
• Solve the equation on your card
• The robot with the highest power wins both cards

Goal: Build fluency and quick thinking.

Advanced — “One Shot Robots”

Encourage careful mental calculation.

How it works:
• Use a pen to write the power level
• No erasing allowed
• Think carefully before powering up your robot

Goal: Strengthen focus and accuracy.

Expert — “Sort the Squad”

Add strategy and number sense.

How it works:
• Lay out several robot cards
• Solve all equations
• Sort robots from weakest to strongest or strongest to weakest

Goal: Deepen understanding of equal groups and number comparison.
