Instructions

Download and print your Tic-Tac-Toe board.

  • The board is a simple 3x3 grid.
  • One player is X, the other is O.
  • Players take turns marking one empty square with their symbol.
  • The goal is to be the first to get three of your marks in a row — across, down, or diagonally.
  • If all the squares fill up with no winner, it’s a tie.

Quick, simple, and fun — a great game to play again and again!

Variations

Color Tic-Tac-Toe

  • Instead of X’s and O’s, use two different colored markers or crayons. Fill each square with your color — first to line up three wins!

Shape Tic-Tac-Toe

  • Draw simple shapes instead of X’s and O’s — like stars and hearts, smiley faces and suns, or any two fun doodles your kids like.

Sticker Tic-Tac-Toe

  • Use stickers (stars vs. circles, animals vs. flowers) and place them on the printed board.

Character Tic-Tac-Toe

  • Assign a favorite character to each player (example: Mario vs. Luigi, Elsa vs. Anna). Draw or use small cut-outs.

Timed Tic-Tac-Toe

  • Set a timer (10 seconds) for each turn — adds a little excitement and helps kids practice quick thinking!

Best of Three (or Five)

  • Play several rounds and see who can win the most games — perfect for longer play sessions.
